The Bucket Berkey comes standard with two pre-drilled buckets that screw together, two Black Berkey filters, a spigot, and necessary washers. You can choose to add 2 more Black Berkey elements under Filter Options.
Necessity is the mother of invention, and recently we had to figure out how to provide our customers with clean water during shortages at the Berkey manufacturing plant. Well, we came up with the answer. The Bucket Berkey. We have customized two food grade buckets to accept genuine Black Berkey filter elements to provide inexpensive, safe, clean water.
The Berkey Bucket is manufactured by DisasterStuff.com and uses genuine Black Berkey filter elements and spigots. The five (5) gallon buckets are rated as food grade and are the same style of bucket used in food storage.
The top chamber of the Berkey Bucket can accept 2 or 4 Black Berkey elements. The upper chamber and lower chamber are threaded and can be securely fastened to each other. The upper chamber comes with a lid to keep dust and other debris out of the water.
The Berkey Bucket water filter is ideal for emergency preparedness where you do not want to use a Berkey water filter for daily use. It can be assembled in about 10 minutes by one person, although we recommend two people for aligning the washers that seal the two chambers.
