Betsy is a yearling heifer.  She is 1/2 milking shorhorn, 1/4 Jersey and 1/4 Holstein.  We have milked her Momma for 7 years and she gives 7-8 gallons at freshening.  She is currently giving over 3 gallons a day with just one milking a day.  We bred her to a shorhorn because it was simply too much milk.  Shorhorns are a good milking cow, they just don't give the quantity that a Holstein does.  Betsy is very friendly and will go into the barn and stanchion.  She will allow us to touch her teats with minimal kicking.  She is currently not bred but I do have a great AI guy.  It costs about $100 for a breeding.  It is not included in the price.
