The Last Firestarting Kit You'll Ever Need!
Quantity Views Date Posted

Asking Price Shipping Amount Condition
$50.00 $6.00 Excellent
Description:

This kit has the capability to allow you to start a fire every day for well over 100 years. This is less expensive than you could buy yourself, unless you bought individual componenets in bulk. This is the same kit I personally have and use often, which is why I like it so much (I keep them in both vehicles, another in 72-hour kits, camping supplies, etc). Several family members and friends have them and all have been extremely pleased. They make great gifts as well!

The kit includes:
3/8" x 4" firesteel w/ lanyard and scraper (well over 12,000 strike capacity)
3/16" x 2.5" firesteel (backup)
Fire striker
Shard (like flint)
Magnifying glass (catches char on fire on a sunny day in about 1 second)
Char (made from cotton)
Extra cotton for more char (can also be made from rotting wood, jeans, cotton shirts, etc)
Jute twine (to build a nest and help start fire when environment is wet)
7-hour candle (to dry wet tinder in emergency)
Tin (Altoid-sized, for making char and holding items - required hole prepunched)
Denim bag w/ pull string to hold all contents (approx 4.75" wide x 7" high)
Detailed Instructions on how to use these items is also included.

I'm including a picture of everything, which all fits in the bag, with room to spare. Several individual components are stored in tiny plastic bags.

You can get these kits here: http://www.preparednessdeals.com/servlet/the-326/Firestarting-Kit-Firesteel-Lanyard/Detail . If satisfied, please tell others. Laughing

Item Location City/State (REQUIRED): Mesa, Arizona
Keywords: fire, striker, firesteel, flint, denim

AZ_Heat,

Is that a tea light that is the 7 hour candle?

Yes, that is a 7 hour tea light. It is in there so that if your kindling is damp, you can get the candle lit and use that to dry out your kindling. It's not supposed to be used as a light, but more of a tool to get that fire going in less-than-desirable situations. When used for that purpose, just a little here and there when needed, it lasts a very long time.

I purchased one of these from AZ Heat and I must say I give it 5 stars!

Everything is of the best quality. I am confident there is no condition that you could not get a fire going if you have practiced and honed your skills properly.

There is also plenty of room in the bag to add anything you may want like a lighter, etc. (But come on that would be cheating )

Thanks AZ for putting together such a quality kit at an unbelievable price
